Description

If holster wear/durability is a concern then we highly recommend going with our Black Nitride as Cerakote is a wearable item. 

Cerakote and Black Nitride are for the entire slide. (Black Nitride adds 2-3 weeks lead time)

It is implied that the customer will have arrangements for coating of a slide if NONE is selected for color. If NONE is chosen there is potentially an issue for rust and corrosion to develop on the slide. Jagerwerks is not responsible for misuse and neglect of bare metal.

Our Trijicon RMR cut is milled to a depth of .125" which includes front recoil posts and mounting screws. 

Screws supplied are (2) #6-32 IP15. Both are safe to use on the extractor side of the slide. An IP15 wrench is included for install.

We do not charge extra for disassembly/reassembly, if you send your entire slide assembly we will laser align the sights for you.

If you include new sights we will install the new ones at no charge. If you include your RMR, barrel and recoil spring we will align it for free. 

If your iron sights are not compatible with the optic/optic cut we will not reinstall them. They will be sent back in a plastic bag with your slide.

Does not work on the 42. 43. 43x. 48. (small slides) 

The $20 upcharge on the 17L/41 is for a stainless steel plug that we install on the underside of the slide. This ensures proper thread engagement. 

Carbon Cap - This is used to fill the milled area of the slide when the optic is not in use. You are able to use standard or suppressor height sights with this installed. 

Sealing Plate -  With the seal plate installed, the RMR can be submerged up to 66ft. for at least one hour without leakage. Made from stainless steel and weighs 2.8 g.

    The milling of the slide was perfect and the RMR clicked into place without room to spare. I couldn’t have asked for a better fit. All my milling needs will be done by Jagerwerks.

    Glock RMR Optic Cut

    The machining and general workmanship here is quite excellent. Looks like a factory install. Upon review, I think I would have ordered the work done without refinishing and then blued the bare metal myself. It didn't occur to me that the black nitride process will coat the ENTIRE slide, inside and out. No big deal, but I won't be comfortable using this as an HD gun until I have a chance to send a couple hundred rounds downrange to polish up the internals again - oh no, an excuse to go shooting...

    Took a while but worth the wait

    Took a little bit over 9 weeks door to door, but well worth the wait. The slide came back perfect, nitrate is excellent. The wait time was totally within the parameters listed, just bringing it up so all can be aware. Overall I am very happy with the service.

    1st I contacted jagerwerks in advance, because I had slide milling done by another company.. and I wasn't sure if jagerwerks would even want to deal with it.. They said no problem that alone impressed me.. So I finally got made the decision to give up my EDC for 8 to 10 weeks.. After that I just treated the whole think like a suppressor purchase.. Try to forget about it.. Jagerwerks emailed me to let me know that they received my slide.. Great communication was a bonus.. So now I received my slide back and it was cleanly machined with a precision fit.. I will definitely be sending my G48 slide to jegerwerks for an optic cut in the near future.. the whole process was smooth and as painless as giving up your EDC can be..

    great cut and decent turn arround time even for nitriding, i wil say the standard gen5 glock finish is more durable than JW's nitriding

    Amazing finish and precise cut, couldn’t ask for a better service. But be ready to not have a slide for 8 weeks potentially. Extremely worth it though, great job!

    Jagerwerks lives up to the hype. I couldn’t be happier. The mill is precise & everything looks very clean. The optic fit was amazing. And being a Michigan company makes me recommend even more highly.
