With the seal plate installed, the RMR can be submerged up to 66ft. for at least one hour without leakage. Made from stainless steel and weighs 2.8 g. Compatible with the all Trijicon manufactured RMR pistol mounts. 0.0125" thick May require modifications to fit Zev slides. |
This plate works good with the Type 2 RMR. The plate is cheap insurance for a pistol mounted RMR, especially in the hot and humid south. Mounted on my EDC G19.
Not sure why the description doesn't indicate this (at least at the time I purchased), but it's about 0.0125" thick - nominal impact with iron sight co-witness. And it fits perfectly!
I can see why it should be used under the Trijicon. My suggestion would be to install it right away. Once you set it down, it has a tendency to 'disappear' and youwill waste a lot of time trying to find it.
Cheapest I could find online. Ordered on a Sunday and received on Wednesday. Heard of Jagerworks from Trex arms. They have cool stuff too.
It’s cool. Wish it had that small battery bump to make the RMR work to its fullest potential like competing plates. Over all. Good though.

The sealing plate adds a negligible amount of height but offers great protection for the RMR optic. Get it because you never know where you and your RMR will end up!
