Description

If holster wear/durability is a concern then we highly recommend going with our Black Nitride as Cerakote is a wearable item. 

Black Nitride adds roughly 3 weeks to your slide order. Items sent in only for black Nitride have a 3-6 week turn around time. 

The Salt Bath Nitride process is a Thermo Chemical treatment that improves wear resistance and corrosion resistance of ferrous metals with little or no dimensional change.

If you send in a slide that we do not offer milling for you will have to have it completely disassembled. Please remove the irons and all internals. If you fail to do this we will refund the order and return the slides.

    Nitride finish

    JW did an absolutely gorgeous job on my stainless g27 slide. Results are smoother and cleaner than a factory finish in my opinion. They also did a great job machining the rear dovetail for it. Will definitely be looking to send more work their way.

    Did this black nitride finish on my 26,well worth the extra 2 weeks wait time. Looks just like factory!!!

    Sent in a Gen2 Glock 17 slide to be milled for an RDS and refinished. The refinish on the slide looks like a slightly less used version of my Glock's original finish. A few hundred presentations from a kydex holster have not yet made any marks.

    No additional wait time for the nitride and it came out like a Glock factory finish. Well done, would select again.

    Darker than gen4 factory coating. I have seen no slide wear in a week of use in my kydex holster. The finish looks top quality.
