Description
This optic cut requires an MOS or MOS Compatible optic plate.
This cut will come with two long screws and one shorter screw, the longer screws can be used in the left (driver's side) for more thread engagement.
The Ruger RXM footprint has many existing screw holes and the MOS+ footprint does no allow for the proper use of these holes after the modification has been made. You will be required to run a plate after this milling is completed.
The MOS+ is deeper than the original RXM optic footprint and the spine of the MOS+ footprint doesn't allow for optics to safely seat without a plate. In addition, due to the existing screw holes, the MOS+ third screw hole is intersecting with another existing hole but it still functions as some added support.
The factory RXM irons are compatible with the Steiner MPS, K Series, and a couple shorter deck DPP optics such as the US Optics Rise. However, they do not clear RMRs and SROs, and they just barely sneak up over Holosun 507Cs and Aimpoint Acros.
The RXM is compatible with the Dawsons we recommend for our MOS+ plates though.
If holster wear/durability is a concern then we highly recommend going with our Black Nitride as Cerakote is a wearable item.
Cerakote and Black Nitride are for the entire slide. (Black Nitride adds 2-3 weeks lead time)
For Cerakote color codes and examples: https://jagerwerks.com/cerakote/
It is implied that the customer will have arrangements for coating of a slide if NONE is selected for color. If NONE is chosen there is potentially an issue for rust and corrosion to develop on the slide.
Jagerwerks is not responsible for misuse and neglect of bare metal.
We do not charge extra for disassembly/reassembly, if you send your entire slide assembly we will laser align the sights for you.
If you include new sights we will install the new ones at no charge. If you include your optic, optic plate, barrel, and recoil spring we will align it for free.
If your iron sights are not compatible with the optic/optic cut we will not reinstall them. They will be sent back in a plastic bag with your slide.
