It is implied that the customer will have arrangements for coating of a slide if NONE is selected for color. If NONE is chosen there is potentially an issue for rust and corrosion to develop on the slide. Jagerwerks is not responsible for misuse and neglect of bare metal.
Our Vortex Venom includes front recoil posts and mounting screws. When the iron sight dovetail remains in the factory location there is a small hole created on the front of the optic cut. Due to the length of the optic we will mill into the safety plunger channel. This will not affect the performance or safety of your slide.
Screws supplied are (2) #6-32 7/16".
We do not charge extra for disassembly/reassembly, if you send your entire slide assembly we will laser align the sights for you.
If you include new sights we will install the new ones at no charge. If you include your Venom, barrel and recoil spring we will align it for free.
If your iron sights are not compatible with the optic/optic cut we will not reinstall them. They will be sent back in a plastic bag with your slide.
If you select to have the dovetail behind the optic (standard configuration) you will need approximately .420" tall sights for a co-witness. Due to the length of the Venom and having to be very close to the rear dovetail some rear sights will need modification.

If you select to have the dovetail in front of the optic, you will need approximately .395" tall sights for a co-witness. No modification needed.
The $20 upcharge on the 17L/41 is for a stainless steel plug that we install on the underside of the slide. This ensures proper thread engagement.

Optic cut too close to rear sight
I received my slide back and it's great! However I did have a co witness with this and the rear sight will not fit due to the optic being too close to the rear sight. Overall they did a nice job and will certainly come back for me

Vortex Venom Optic Cut
Fantastic service and awesome quality! I opted to have the Venom cut in front of the rear sight, and sent Ameriglo sights with my slide which Jagerwerks installed for me, saving me the cost and time of having to do it myself. Their customer service also helped me select which iron sights to buy. The overall wait time was almost twelve weeks, around the holiday season, so just in time for Christmas! I will do business with Jagerwerks in the future!

Vortex Venom Optic Cut
First time Jagerwerks customer. Sent in a G19 Gen 5 for a Vortex Venom cut along with some parts including new iron sights (Ameriglo GL-330 2XL), the Vemon optic, a barrel and recoil spring. Lead time was longer than stated (3 and 1/2 months) due to a lack of black nitride need for the new finish. I totally understand the wait time with the flaming 20s supply issues and I won't hold that against Jagerwerks. Slide came back looking amazing and all the parts I sent in were installed and aligned. My only gripe is the iron sight co-witness. The recommended 2XL sights barely crested over the optic. It doesn't make it unusable but I was thinking they would be a bit taller. I plan to get a some 3XL sights to see if that will better fit the vision I had for it. All in all, it is amazing work by Jagerwerks and I have a G34 build planned to send in for slide work and a multicam cerakote. A range trip is planned for a function check and will update the status afterwards along with some cold weather testing. Grade A work JW!

I am very pleased with the apparent quality of the work done on my G17 slide and mounting my Vortex Venom on the slide. The wait time is reasonable in this environment and their communication is outstanding.

When shipping slides for milling, SHIP SLIDES ONLY. Do NOT ship the lower of the firearm as we are not transferring the firearm. We only custom mill slides.
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
